A tube line does not have to be replaced to run faster or make a better tube. XUNTANG retrofits and modernizes installed lines, its own and other makes, station by station. The programmes below show typical upgrade scopes.

Line speed and output upgrade

Raise the throughput of an existing line by re-timing the stations, upgrading drives and re-balancing the buffer accumulators.

Scope of work

  • Survey the current line timing and find the limiting stations
  • Upgrade servo drives and re-tune the motion profiles
  • Re-balance the buffer accumulators between core machines
  • Re-commission and verify sustained line speed

  • Higher sustained tubes-per-minute from the same footprint
  • Smoother flow with fewer micro-stops between stations

Servo internal-coating retrofit

Retrofit servo positioning and a multi-gun spray head to an older coating station for a more uniform internal film.

Scope of work

  • Replace fixed positioning with a servo index drive
  • Fit a 2+4 or 2+6 spray-gun configuration
  • Add recipe storage for fast coating-spec changeover
  • Verify film coverage with no voids, buildup or sagging

  • More uniform internal coating across the tube length
  • Faster changeover between coating specifications

PLC and HMI control modernization

Modernize the control system across the line with current PLCs, touch-screen HMIs and stored recipes for every product.

  • Store recipes so operators recall a product in one step
